While handing over the donation, Dalbit Petroleum Managing Director, Margaret Mbaka reiterated the company’s commitment towards giving back to the communities in which it operates in.
“We believe that this donation will equip the hospital to serve the community better and improve access of quality healthcare for all,” she said.
Speaking after receiving the support, the Chief Government Medical Officer Professor Muhammad Kambi, said the assistance would help boost the department’s capacity to carry out surgery as well accommodate more needy children.
“Other organizations and private institutions should come out and support MOI to strengthen its capacity,” said Prof Kambi.
Ms. Mbaka expressed the company’s desire to further the partnership in future.
“In our CSR policy we emphasis going beyond donations and making our engagements long term,” she added.
This is the second time Dalbit Petroleum is making a donation to the hospital after donating hospital equipment in 2012.
