Dalbit Petroleum has donated Ksh6 million towards the drought mitigation kitty spearheaded by Kenya’s First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and the Kenya Red Cross.

While handing over the donation, Dalbit Petroleum’s Chairman Humphrey Kariuki committed that the organization would also lend support to long term initiatives aimed at addressing the perennial problem of drought and famine.

“It is very disheartening to see our people walking for kilometers in search of food and water,” he said.

“Beyond this initiative to deal with the immediate need for food and water, we believe long term solutions to the challenge of drought in this country are critical.”
